Began as the web & graphic designer for marketing materials, but learned the tricks of the trade & became an estimator & project manager. I was also in charge of renovating, updating & building to suit, all of our commercial rental properties.

Lasting Impressions Wilderness Camp

​{ July 2013 - January 2014 }

Kadoma, Zimbabwe

 

Went as the assistant to the co-directors of the camp. Was in charge of managing camp staff, supply runs, greeting & hosting guests, accounting & creating new brochures, instructor manuals, website and other graphics used at the camp. In addition to all of this I learned to 'make a plan' in day to day struggles like no electricity or water. It was a learning experience to say the least but I loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. I lived with monkeys, baboons & the biggest bugs you've ever seen.

​Started out as part-time office help, but was quickly promoted to the Presidents assistant & as new skills were learned, also became the sales assistant for 3 sales people as well as becoming the back-up graphic designer. As the sales assistant I was also in charge of preparing, setting up & maintaining booths at trade shows both in & out of town. In addition I was given the task of researching, compiling & organizing the 'Book of Lists', an annual publication showing the top 20 companies in the region in 50+ categories.
